EXPERIENCE CHANGE WITH MINDFUL CBT
Since April 2020, I have been working via videolink (Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, Whatsapp). Although I prefer to see my clients face-to-face, I have found holding virtual therapy sessions to be just as effective in facilitating recovery and wellness.
ABOUT MINDFUL CBT
CBT works on the understanding that, if we are able to both notice and then manage our thoughts and behaviours, we will change our mood. A very simplistic explanation of a very effective therapy, that is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence ( NICE guidelines).
During therapy, we will work collaboratively, taking into account what has happened in the past but with the focus mainly on the ‘here and now’ and moving forward, differently.
I have a Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) approach to treatment, as I understand that it can be very hard to come and share your most difficult thoughts and feelings at a time when you are feeling vulnerable.
