Finding the right therapist is about more than qualifications alone.
It's important to choose someone whose approach feels right for you and who has experience working with the difficulties you're experiencing.
If you're unsure, an initial assessment gives us the opportunity to discuss your concerns, answer any questions and decide whether working together feels like a good fit.
If you'd like to explore whether CBT or EMDR could help, you're very welcome to get in touch.
Whether you're looking for therapy in Southsea, Portsmouth or online elsewhere in the UK, I'll be happy to answer your questions and arrange an initial assessment if you decide you'd like to proceed.
People choose private CBT for a variety of reasons. Some want to begin therapy sooner, while others are looking for a therapist with experience in a particular area, such as OCD, anxiety disorders or trauma.
Private therapy also offers greater flexibility. You'll see the same therapist throughout your treatment, appointments can often be arranged at times that suit your schedule, and therapy can be tailored to your individual needs and goals rather than following a fixed programme.
Many people value having the opportunity to work at a pace that feels right for them, with treatment focused on the difficulties that are most important to them.
Appointment availability varies throughout the year, but I aim to offer an initial assessment as soon as possible.
If you're considering CBT or EMDR therapy, you're welcome to get in touch to enquire about my current availability. If I have appointments available, we'll arrange a convenient time for your initial assessment.
If I'm unable to offer an appointment within a reasonable timeframe, I'll let you know so you can make an informed decision about your options.
Once you've made contact, I'll reply as soon as possible to discuss your enquiry and answer any questions you may have.
If you'd like to arrange an appointment, we'll book an initial assessment at a mutually convenient time. During the assessment, we'll explore the difficulties you're experiencing, your goals for therapy, and whether CBT, EMDR or another approach is likely to be the most appropriate treatment.
If we decide to work together, we'll agree a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and arrange ongoing appointments. Throughout therapy, we'll regularly review your progress and make sure the approach continues to meet your goals.
